Mbady Diabaté’s heritage traces back to the illustrious musical legacy of the griots Diabaté and Kouyaté. Wontanara is the result of Diabaté’s inspirations, drawing from strong African musical roots with the help of Bruno Desbiolles and Éric Frèrejacques both bringing their own sonic personality to the project. The result is a deeply personal and touching combination of sounds somewhere between tradition and modern music, an acoustic musical journey.
